We have a 40 year heritage here at Midland Lead of which we’re really proud! We’re the only UK lead manufacturer with an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) for our lead sheet, which is made from 100% recycled lead. And we are a proactive member of the UK manufacturing industry, partnering with Make UK and supporting other local manufacturers via the East Midlands Manufacturing Network.

We’ll work with you to supply the right type of lead at the required specification for all your projects, from church roofs to marine ballast or lead-lined boards. Whatever you need, we’ll make it for you, right here on our purpose-built site in the East Midlands. Choose from:

Lead sheet in standard thicknesses from Codes 3-8

Code 1 and Code 2 for radiation protection and acoustic sector

Lead-lined boards and bricks for radiation protection, NDT and nuclear sector

For heritage applications, sandcast lead in thicknesses from Code 6-8 as standard, higher codes produced upon request. We can collect and re-cast the original material, giving full circle of life to the lead

A wide range of essential ancillary products including patination oil, fixing clips and lead sealant

Lead offcuts, lead ingots and a bespoke lead filling service for the lead ballast sector

We’ve grown quite a bit in 40 years – we’ve got a 13 acre site with 2 melting kettles, casting machine, sand-cast facility and 4 cutting lines, producing in excess of 20,000 tonnes of lead sheet annually. But that hasn’t changed the way we work, we’re still a family firm at heart. And it hasn’t changed who we work with. 

We have a strong history of supplying independent merchants - we understand the trade and we support the skills. We’ve always worked with small, medium and large companies – and we always will.
