Midland Lead is owned and managed by husband and wife team Boudewijn Tuinenburg and Francoise Derksen. Since acquiring Midland Lead in 2004 they’ve driven growth with a family owned business – both our valued customers and the passionate team here at Midland Lead.
As a family business, we work hard to create a culture where everyone has a voice and everyone can thrive. It’s working with our production team to design their dream shift pattern that will optimise both productivity and time spent with family. Having worked with lead for over 40 years, we’re passionate about our products and we’re experts in their applications, including construction, radiation protection and ballast.

And we’re constantly improving, working with organisations such as the LCA (Lead Contractors Association) and other local, national and global manufacturers to share knowledge and expertise.
Our Operations Excellence team includes our factory specialists – the talented people who make the lead we sell. The work is varied – from filling moulds with lead to producing lead-lined boards for radiation protection – but it’s all done to an impeccably high standard.
